Product Manager - Platform

Unseen Group

Unseen combines assessment technology, candidate engagement, psychometric design and recruitment support solutions to help employers deliver fair, data-driven, high-impact recruitment experiences and insights.

Unseen currently serves ~200 employer clients and 15–20 strategic partners, including global employers and talent service providers.

Following strong organic growth and multiple acquisitions, the business has reached approximately £10m in revenue and is preparing for its next stage of scale, targeting £40m-£50m revenue over the coming years. This growth will be delivered through a determined and proactive acquisition strategy, as well as organic revenue growth.

We are now entering that next stage, with an ambitious plan to expand our market presence through an integrated, end-to-end platform that offers a seamless journey throughout the hiring lifecycle.

The Role

We are looking for a Product Manager to own our platform — the orchestration layer that connects our product suite, integrates with client ATS systems, and manages the end-to-end candidate lifecycle.

This is not a feature-level PM role. You will be responsible for a platform that is fundamental to the company’s strategy: consolidating acquired products into a unified system, creating the data layer that powers our AI, and building the infrastructure that enables future acquisitions to plug in seamlessly.

You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, and commercial teams — translating business strategy into a platform that employers run their hiring programmes through.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap — aligned to the five key outcomes: product stickiness, consolidated platform revenue, data advantage, operational efficiency, and scalable growth.
  • Define and prioritise the platform backlog across the Orchestration Engine, Candidate Hub, Pipeline Builder, and integration layer.
  • Translate the buy-and-build strategy into concrete platform requirements — ensuring the adapter pattern supports rapid integration of future acquisitions.
  • Work with the CTO to make build-vs-buy decisions for platform components.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on go-to-market strategy — defining how the platform is positioned, packaged, and sold across client segments, and ensuring product launches are supported with clear messaging, demo narratives, and sales enablement.

Integration & Interoperability

  • Define the integration strategy for bi-directional ATS connectivity .
  • Own the product adapter specifications for our products, defining how sessions are provisioned, results are received, and candidate identities are mapped.
  • Work with engineering to design the canonical data model and identity layer that bridges the different identifier schemes across the three products.

AI & Data

  • Collaborate with the data science and business psychology teams to shape the AI roadmap — from AI candidate overviews and performance reports (now) to predictive stage outcomes, bias monitoring, and AI assessment builders (next/future).
  • Ensure the unified data layer is designed to support cross-stage intelligence: correlating video, assessment, and psychometric data to produce insights no single product can.
  • Champion fairness and responsible AI — ensuring bias detection, adverse impact monitoring, and GDPR compliance are built into the platform from the start.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable product management experience on a platform, integration, or infrastructure product (not just feature-level UI work).
  • Experience with multi-product ecosystems — ideally in a company that has grown through acquisition and needs to unify disparate systems.
  • An understanding of API design, event-driven architectures, and integration patterns (REST, webhooks, message buses). You don’t need to write code, but you need to speak fluently with engineers about these concepts.
  • Experience defining data models, identity systems, or canonical schemas that bridge multiple systems.
  • Proven ability to work across product, engineering, commercial, and client-facing teams — translating business strategy into platform capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you’ll be writing specs, presenting to leadership, and facilitating cross-team alignment.

Desirable

  • Experience in HR Tech, Talent Acquisition, or Recruitment Technology (ATS, assessment tools, psychometrics).
  • Familiarity with volume hiring, early careers, or RPO business models.
  • Experience with AI/ML product management — particularly responsible AI, fairness, and bias detection.
  • Experience working with or building for ATS platforms (Workday, Greenhouse, SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Background in a buy-and-build or PE-backed environment where M&A integration is a core product concern.
